Centering embodies patient-centered care. The visit schedule and content adhere to nationally recognized guidelines, offering flexibility and time to explore health and wellness topics. Birthing parents engage in their care by taking and recording their own vitals, and private time with your provider is allocated for a health assessment and belly check. Facilitators lead discussions and interactive activities to address health topics. Centering group prenatal care follows the recommended schedule of 10 prenatal visits, but each visit is 90 minutes to two hours long - giving women 10x more time with their provider.

The International Board of Lactation Consultant Examiners® and the International Lactation Consultant Association® recognize Ravenswood Family Health Network for providing professional lactation support as an integral part of our maternal-child services, and for conducting activities that demonstrate promotion, protection, and support of breastfeeding.

Ravenswood is an Accredited Centering Site recognized by the Centering Healthcare Institute (CHI). Accreditation is awarded by CHI, based in Boston, MA, when a site has been evaluated and found to have achieved quality and sustainability milestones.
