Our History
Ravenswood Family Health Network History
Since 2001, Ravenswood has provided services to individuals and families residing in the communities of East Palo Alto, Belle Haven, North Fair Oaks, Redwood City, Palo Alto, Mountain View, Sunnyvale and surrounding areas.
In 2001
Ravenswood Family Health Center was born in its first temporary location. During our first 5 years, we planted the seeds to ensure we had a sound organizational structure that supported our mission of providing access to health care to our diverse patient
population. We provided full family medicine prenatal and pediatric care.
In 2002
Lucile Packard Children's Hospital donated a mobile clinic to us allowing us to launch the healthcare for the homeless program, providing services in the community to hundreds of people living on the streets who would not normally have access to proper health care.
In 2007
Ravenswood took root, we were able to purchase land toward the construction of a permanent facility, open a dental clinic that provided comprehensive dentistry for all ages, added integrated behavior health services and assisted hundreds of uninsured people to obtain health insurance through San Mateo County Ace and through the Affordable Care Act.
In 2012
With funding from San Mateo County First Five and guidance from the University of the Pacific Dental School, Ravenswood Family Dentistry launched it's virtual dental program in San Mateo County preschools, providing preventive dental services in the classroom, which today serves over 600 children a year.
Ravenswood Family Health Clinic development was the culmination of the efforts of a village of supporters and contributors who moved by true community spirit enabled us to achieve the significant milestone.
On May 5th, 2015
Ravenswood celebrated the opening of our permanent facility a state-of-the-art clinic with 53 exam rooms and expanded service offerings including optometry, optical mammography, ultrasound, three additional dental operatories and pharmacy.
